Online RRSP Contributions for the 2004 taxation year must be received by midnight (EDST), March 1, 2005.

How do I make an RRSP investment online?
If you are making an additional contribution to an existing Shaunavon Credit Union RRSP, choose the "Existing RRSPs" link which follows when you accept the agreement below.

If you are a member of the Shaunavon Credit Union, but do not have an RRSP with the Credit Union, you can contribute by choosing the "New Applicants" link and completing the RSP Application which follows when you accept the agreement below.

We'll confirm your contribution via email. Income Tax Receipts for contributions made in the first 60 days of the year will be mailed weekly. Receipts for contributions made from then until the end of the year will be mailed at the end of the year.

Important points to remember when applying for an RRSP:
The "annuitant" of an RRSP is the owner of the RRSP. The person who contributes to the plan and claims a deduction on their tax return is called the "contributor".

In a "non-spousal" RRSP the annuitant and contributor are the same person. In a "spousal" RRSP, the annuitant's spouse is the contributor. It is important to understand this distinction as you will be asked to choose which type of RRSP you are applying for. In either case, the application is to be completed by the annuitant.

Online RRSP operating hours
For applications received Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST, we will make every effort to respond by email within 24 hours. Internet traffic and / or volume of applications received may delay response time. Applications received on Saturdays or Sundays will be answered the following business day.

Interest Rates
The interest rate applicable to you will be the posted rate in effect for the term you selected when you made your RRSP contribution. We will confirm your contribution and the applicable rates via email. All investments once made are subject to and governed by the applicable investment terms.
